A reworked camouflage baseball cap featuring layered textures, reclaimed materials, and punk-inspired detailing. Distressed black mesh is draped asymmetrically across the cap and extended over the brim, creating contrast through transparency and texture.

A row of spike rivets runs from the front to the back of the cap, referencing the silhouette of a traditional punk mohawk. A distressed black denim Brontë label is applied with silver safety pins as the finishing touch.

Combining military influences with DIY punk aesthetics, the cap transforms a familiar silhouette through layering, distressing, and hand-finished details. Because each piece is assembled individually, slight variations in distressing and placement may occur.

How it's made / curated

Each cap begins as a camouflage baseball cap sourced in small quantities and reworked by Brontë in her Amsterdam atelier. Existing materials and remnants from previous projects are incorporated wherever possible, extending the life of textiles that might otherwise go unused.

For this design, distressed mesh panels are draped and sewn asymmetrically across the cap and brim by hand. The layered construction creates varying levels of transparency and texture throughout the piece.

Spike rivets are individually attached along the center line of the cap, inspired by the shape of a punk mohawk, while silver safety pins and a distressed black denim Brontë label are added as finishing details.

Because each cap is assembled by hand using reclaimed materials, slight variations in distressing, fabric placement, and hardware details are a natural part of the process.
