A fitted tank top crafted from a soft cotton-elastane blend with adjustable straps for a customizable fit. The front combines a bold “I <3 U” graphic with a descending column of repeated “fuck” text, while the back features the phrase “I confess I must be medicated” alongside a cat illustration.

Drawing from the contradictions of modern romance, the design explores the tension between longing for connection and wanting to keep it at a distance. Affection, frustration, vulnerability, and self-protection collide across the garment, creating a graphic that feels both playful and emotionally charged.

The piece was inspired by experiences with online dating and the complexities of avoidant attachment, translating conflicting emotions into a layered visual language. Each tank top is individually hand-painted by Brontë using stencil and freehand techniques. Slight variations in the artwork, texture, and paint application are a natural part of the process, making every piece one of a kind.

How it's made / curated

Each tank top is hand-finished by Brontë in her atelier in Amsterdam. Working in small batches allows for a hands-on approach and careful attention to every garment.

The base tank tops are sourced in limited quantities and selected for their comfortable cotton-elastane blend, which offers softness, stretch, and an easy everyday fit.

Using a combination of stencils and hand-painting techniques, Brontë applies the artwork to each piece individually. This process gives every garment its own character while maintaining the overall design.

Because each tank top is painted by hand, slight variations in the placement, texture, and details of the print may occur. These differences are a natural part of the making process and make every piece unique.
