Liminal is an original 1-of-1 painting emerging from the space between inner and outer worlds through voice and vision, where the ground itself is neither fully abstract nor fully formed. The ribbed forms rise from the background, boundaries between inner and outer blurred beyond recognition. The body is not separate from what surrounds it; it is permeable, suspended in the threshold where abstraction and presence merge. Here, the figure is allowed to remain undefined, caught between states, refusing to crystallise into something concrete.

How it's made / curated

This original work is part of her ongoing series ‘Echoes from Within’, developed from her studio practice in Rotterdam. The work emerges through intuitive painting grounded in close object study and photographing, translating that looking into form, colour, and curve. What begins as memory and presence becomes visible through the act of painting itself.
