Ode to Self is an original 1-of-1 painting that explores what it means to trust the unseen. A presence moves forward with eyes closed, surrendering to a path not yet visible. Botanical forms bloom within and around the body, while butterflies mark a process of emergence and transformation. Here, the body becomes a site of becoming, guided by a wisdom that needs no sight.

How it's made / curated

This original work is part of her ongoing series Echoes from Within, developed from her studio practice in Rotterdam. The work emerges through intuitive painting grounded in close object study and photographing, translating that looking into form, colour, and curve. What begins as memory and presence becomes visible through the act of painting itself.
