A 100% cotton T-shirt with a deceptively simple front and a heavily distressed back. Layers of hand-created distressing reveal the garment beneath, creating texture, movement, and a striking silhouette from behind.

The design transforms a classic everyday T-shirt through wear-inspired detailing, balancing minimalism with disruption. As the garment is worn, the distressed sections may continue to soften and evolve, adding further character over time.

Each piece is individually distressed by hand by Brontë, meaning the placement and appearance of the distressing will vary slightly from garment to garment, making every piece one of a kind.

How it's made / curated

Each T-shirt begins as a 100% cotton garment sourced in small quantities. Working with limited stock allows Brontë to create small runs rather than mass-produced pieces.

In her Amsterdam atelier, the back of each garment is individually distressed by hand. The fabric is carefully cut and frayed to create layered openings while maintaining the structure of the T-shirt.

Designed to be worn in rather than worn out, the distressing is intended to evolve over time. Fraying and changes in the fabric are expected and form part of the garment’s character.

Because every piece is handmade, no two garments are exactly alike. Variations in the distressing make each T-shirt unique to its wearer.
