We got asked to design vases as a center piece for a wedding. So we made a collection of vases that are a bit extra. This vase has some wings attached on the sides. We work with classic shapes and alter them into 2026.

This ceramic vase is handmade on the throwing wheel in our studio in De Pijp, Amsterdam.

How it's made / curated

This ceramic vase is handmade on the throwing wheel in our studio in De Pijp, Amsterdam. It’s made from stoneware. To make it fully waterproof, we glazed it. The vase is fired two times: first we fire it around 950 celsius. The material becomes solid but isn’t waterproof yet – It’s more like a terracotta pot. After the first fire, we glazed it in two different colors. The second time we fired the vase in our kiln around 1200 celsius. Now this vase is ready to live for hundreds of years 🙂

Details

We use stoneware clay and use our own made glazes. Everything is created in our studio in De Pijp, Amsterdam.
