Spikey Candleholder

These spikey candleholders are handmade in our ceramic studio in De Pijp, Amsterdam. Each candleholder is 100% handmade and unique. We made them out of two different types of clay. The base is handmade with slabs. The spikes are made with colored slib that we applied with a syringe.

The spikey candleholders had to dry before it was fired in our kiln the first time around 1000 degrees for 24 hours. After it was dry, we dipped them in transparant glaze. The candleholders were fired for the second time around 1200 degrees for 24 hours.

These spikey candleholders are now ready to last hundreds of years.

The candleholders are made from stoneware clay.

The candleholders are all unique and are about 10 cm long and 4 cm tall.
