We are obsessed with shoes. The idea of this pair of heels is that they will last longer than a lifetime. Ceramics can survive up to hundreds of years, so these iconic block heels can live on forever. Not only as a decorative object, we made it functional by adding a candleholder.

They belong to our ceramic shoe collection – you can’t walk in them, but you can place a candle inside for some extra home feelings.

These heels come as a pair.

How it's made / curated

These heels are sculptured by Hannah in our ceramic studio in De Pijp, Amsterdam. The heels are made with stoneware clay. After they were sculptured (which took about two days), they were fired in our kiln around 1000 degrees celsius. After that, we glazed them by hand, applying three layers of glaze per shoe. We fired them one last time around 1200 degrees.

These heels are now ready to last hundreds of years.

The heels come as a pair. They are both 21 cm long and 8 cm tall.
