Vintage tableware Founded in 2025 Based in Amsterdam

Her story

fraugil was founded by Asia Antonova in 2025 in Amsterdam. After moving to the city in 2022, she began hosting dinners and gatherings as a way to find and create her community. While searching for pieces for her table settings around flea markets, she realised that everything she loved – food, atmosphere and vintage sourcing and hospitality – could come together through one concept.

At its core, fraugil is about creating space for slower moments, thoughtful gatherings and the small rituals that make everyday life feel special. Alongside her collection of chic vintage tableware, fraugil also works on rentals, dinners, creative collaborations and set styling projects.

“As much as Fraugil is about vintage objects, it is really about the moments created around them - slow mornings, shared meals, long conversations and the feeling of being together.”

Curation

fraugil offers a curated collection of vintage tableware, silverware, and decorative objects, selected for their understated yet expressive character—pieces that quietly shape the atmosphere of a space and the rituals that unfold within it.

Each item is personally sourced by Asia across flea markets, antique fairs, vintage dealers, and online platforms across the Netherlands, France, and Italy. Her curation process is highly intuitive, guided by form, texture, craftsmanship, and emotional resonance.

"I am especially drawn to objects that do not compete for attention, but quietly shape the mood of a space and the rituals happening around them."

Sustainability

Sustainability is inherently woven into fraugil through its focus on vintage and pre-existing objects. Asia carefully restores and prepares each piece for continued use, giving beautiful objects a second life and encouraging a slower, more intentional approach to consumption.

Shipping materials and boxes are reused whenever possible, while still creating a thoughtful unboxing experience. For Asia, receiving a hidden treasure in an unexpected package reflects the very spirit of vintage sourcing itself.

Highlights

Fraugil regularly collaborates on intimate dinners, creative gatherings and styling projects together with female-led businesses and local creatives in Amsterdam. One of the collaborations closest to Asia’s heart has been working with &the Table on community dinners centered around connection and hospitality.

Fraugil also recently opened its own corner within a concept store in Amsterdam West, surrounded by a community of like-minded female-led brands working across vintage fashion, sustainable jewelry, interiors and design.
