it’s about being in a place of transition, where you’re no longer where you were, but not yet where you’re going. it’s an exploration of the unknown, of trusting the fog until the path clears to find my way back to myself, I always go to the beach. it’s my happy place, where I go to exhale and let go of the noise. for this piece, I brought the sea back to the studio with me, using north sea sand and water in the layers of paint and oil stick.

it’s a reminder that even when we are ‘in between’ phases, we are safe. life will work out. swipe for some progress & behind-the-scene shots.

How it's made / curated

Created out of deep & raw emotion, from my home studio in The Hague.

Each original artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Shannen, verifying its title, creation date, and unique nature.

This piece will never be reproduced, making it a one-of-a-kind addition to your collection.

Delivery

Artworks larger than 50 cm (in lenght or width) are standardly shipped rolled (unstretched) to ensure safe delivery. You can have the canvas re-stretched by a local framer.
