to&fro is an Amstelveen-based brand founded in 2023 by Büsra Özgül, born from a lifelong habit of collecting beautiful things. After moving from Turkey to the Netherlands, creating a sense of home became essential, leading her to surround herself with objects that carry meaning and emotional connection. For Büsra, these objects bring a sense of safety and grounding, transforming a space into a personal museum filled with stories and character. This idea became the foundation of to&fro.

She sources vintage homeware defined by exceptional craftsmanship and unique beauty, and creates necklaces and talismans from vintage materials. to&fro is a shop for people who want their spaces to visually tell their own story.

Curation

to&fro is driven by the hunt for pieces with exceptional form and timeless utility. Büsra carefully curates vintage homeware and décor across Europe, seeking out objects from eras when everyday items were crafted with real care and attention to design. To her, minor signs of age do not diminish an item’s appeal; they simply reflect its history. She also hand-assembles unique necklaces and objects from vintage beads collected during her travels.

Sustainability

By its very nature, vintage is sustainable, as it keeps existing craftsmanship in circulation. Büsra brings this same intentionality to her shipping and packaging. She actively minimises plastic by using eco-friendly and reused materials for packaging and shipping.
