Slow Fashion Vintage is a curated vintage brand specialising in graphic tees, band shirts, workwear, sportswear, and outerwear from the 1980s, 1990s, and Y2K era. Each piece is carefully selected for its character, craftsmanship, and the story it carries.
His story
Slow Fashion Vintage was founded in 2022 by Jasper van Zeeland in The Hague. His brand emerged from a personal obsession: finding that one piece with real quality, genuine character, and the perfect fit. When Jasper realized how many clothes were sold as “vintage”, but were actually just second-hand from a few years ago, he decided to launch Slow Fashion Vintage.
He wanted to restore the true meaning of vintage — clothing that is at least twenty years old, carrying character and its own story. Clothing with soul, not speed. He sells 80s, 90s, and Y2K pieces, each listed with its story, year, label, origin, and fit.
“I've been crazy about that search for years: that one item that's right, unique, good quality, perfect fit. The moment you find it, you just know.”
Curation
Slow Fashion Vintage centres on authentic vintage graphic tees, band and music shirts, iconic workwear and utility pieces, sportswear, Y2K streetwear, and outerwear. Jasper carefully selects each piece for its unique character—a graphic you won’t find again, a fade that only real wear can create—but above all, its story. Every item is hand-inspected for the construction details and craftsmanship that define true vintage.
"Every piece has to be that one item that just clicks: a story behind the print, a graphic you won't find again, a fade that only real wear creates, the nostalgia of an era done right. If it doesn't tell a story, it doesn't go in."
Sustainability
Sustainability is inherent to the brand’s approach, as the entire collection consists of second-hand clothing. By returning garments that have already proven their durability over decades to active use, Slow Fashion Vintage offers a direct alternative to overproduction and waste. It is a model built on longevity, preservation, and an appreciation for genuine history over mass consumption.
