Her story

Laguna was founded in Amsterdam in 2023 by Liv List, born from a desire to create jewelry inspired by the ocean, nature, and its organic beauty. After sketching designs for pieces she couldn’t find elsewhere, Liv began developing them together with her mother, who introduced her to the craft of jewelry making. What started as custom pieces made for herself gradually evolved into Laguna.

Inspired by the idea that nature is never identical or uniform, Laguna embraces asymmetry and natural imperfections. This is reflected in its signature approach of selling earrings individually rather than in pairs. At its core, Laguna aims to foster a deeper connection to the ocean, encouraging an appreciation of nature as a source of inspiration throughout the year.

Craftsmanship

Liv designs and creates handcrafted jewelry inspired by the ocean and the organic forms of the marine world. Her collections consist of earrings, necklaces, and one-of-a-kind pieces made with freshwater pearls, carefully sourced beads, shells, and upcycled vintage elements collected from different corners of the world. Some designs are produced in small series, while others remain entirely unique due to the exclusive materials used.

Sustainablity

Laguna embraces sustainability through a slow and intentional production process, with each piece handmade in small quantities to avoid overproduction. Materials are carefully sourced or reclaimed from vintage jewelry, giving existing elements a renewed life and extending the lifespan of valuable materials.

Over the past years, Laguna has organically grown within the creative and fashion scene through collaborations, features, and pop-up events. The brand was carried by a concept store in Vancouver, expanding its reach across Canada, and has collaborated with inspiring photographers and creatives along the way. Laguna has also been featured in publications such as L’Officiel Baltic and Grazia. Through frequent participation in Amsterdam-based creator pop-ups, the brand continues to build a presence within the local creative community.
