Vintage fashion By Kinke Nijland Founded in 2024 Based in Amsterdam

Her story

ANNO is a curated vintage brand founded by Kinke Nijland in 2024, born from her love for storytelling, timeless design, and second-hand fashion. With a background in urban design, Kinke sees fashion the same way she sees cities: layered and shaped by time and history.

What started as a personal fascination with the stories behind garments evolved into ANNO, a vintage concept where each piece carries its own identity. Every item comes with a unique “passport,” revealing its year, material, origin, and care instructions. And so transforming clothing into living stories and encouraging more conscious consumption.

Through curated collections, pop-ups, and its presence at Café Akhi ’n Friends, ANNO continues to encourage a more personal relationship with clothing and its history.

“By curating vintage pieces with character and history, I attempt to give existing garments a second life while creating a more personal connection between wearer and clothing.”

Curation

Defined by a balance of statement and staple pieces, ANNO focuses on timeless silhouettes in black, white, and occasional pops of colour. Each item is personally sourced by founder Kinke and comes with an informative “passport,” offering context on its origin, material, and care. This added layer of information encourages a deeper understanding and appreciation of what we wear.

"By providing each garment with a “passport”, I encourage customers to better understand, value, and care for what they wear."

Sustainability

By working exclusively with vintage clothing, ANNO extends the life of existing garments. Kinke carefully selects pieces for their lasting quality and character, ensuring they can be worn and appreciated for years to come. This approach fosters a more informed and personal relationship with clothing, centred on longevity rather than constant replacement.
