weARCHIVE is an upcycled jewelry label creating one-of-a-kind pieces from both vintage and new materials. Each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted, blending nostalgic elements with modern design, giving new life to forgotten materials.
Her story
Founded in 2024 by Cecile van Herwijnen, the amsterdam based weARCHIVE grew from a love for vintage pieces and the belief that existing materials still hold value. She started the label to give forgotten materials a new purpose through modern, wearable designs. By sourcing and reworking old brooches, tin objects, chains, and other unique finds, Cecile transforms overlooked materials into one-of-a-kind jewelry that connects past and present. Traces of age, texture, and history are intentionally preserved, allowing each piece to retain the character of its original form while taking on a new life.
“I’m inspired by objects that already carry a story. By combining vintage finds with new elements, I create jewelry that connects past and present in a modern way.”
Craftsmanship
weARCHIVE transforms vintage and repurposed objects—including things like old brooches, tin pieces, chains, and other found materials—into one-of-a-kind jewelry. The process is led by experimentation and craftsmanship, allowing the original character of the materials to remain visible while transforming them into something entirely new. Because many elements are vintage or archived, slight imperfections, textures, and traces of age are intentionally preserved and embraced as part of each piece’s individuality.

Sustainability
By working primarily with existing materials and producing in small quantities, weARCHIVE embraces a more sustainable approach to jewelry making. The label breathes new life into forgotten pieces while embracing a more mindful approach to production and consumption.
