Trach Bardo is a brand by Ukrainian queer artist Dmytro Trach. His works tell a visual stories inspired by Mediterranean beauty, warm hospitality and unusual natural settings that invite viewers into new worlds, emotions and wonder.

His story

Dmytro adopted the artist pseudonym Trach Bardo in 2021. Although he has been painting his whole life, he officially started Trach Bardo at the beginning of the war in Ukraine, when his paintings were donated to support Ukrainians.

Dmytro creates from his studio in Amsterdam. His paintings are often inspired by Mediterranean aesthetics, travel, and hospitality. In addition to original paintings, he also offers prints, each based on an original artwork. His works are detailed and colorful, designed to immerse the viewer in a story and encourage exploration.

A percentage of the sales from his original paintings is donated to support Ukrainians affected by the war.

Sustainable craftsmanship

Working from his Amsterdam studio, Dmytro creates detailed and colorful paintings that combine storytelling with imaginative world-building. Alongside original artworks, he also offers high-quality prints based on these pieces, making his work more accessible. A percentage of the sales from his original paintings is donated to support Ukrainians affected by the war.

His prints are produced by a local print studio in Amsterdam Noord, supporting local businesses while reducing transportation-related impact. Prints are released in small editions, allowing him to produce thoughtfully and avoid unnecessary excess.

Highlight

In 2025, Dmytro held his first solo exhibition at a gallery in Amsterdam’s Museumplein, marking a key milestone in his artistic journey.
