Her story

Founded in 2025 by Valentine Mathieu, a Parisienne by origin, Tina Gems came to be from her passion for uncovering hidden treasures and beauty in overlooked pieces. Drawing from years spent exploring flea markets and experimenting with her personal style, she started the brand to help others discover unique second-hand fashion designed to last.

Tina’s finds range from timeless basics to bold statement pieces, with a focus on versatility, accessibility, and inclusive sizing. Through her styling choices and distinctive online content, she encourages people to experiment with and reinterpret each garment, revealing its full potential. At its core, the project is about free self-expression, without judgement.

Curation

Tina Gems sources her pieces from flea markets across France, Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands, with a focus on 1990s and 2000s fashion. Without relying on suppliers, every item is carefully handpicked for its uniqueness and quality. The selection ranges from affordable second-hand finds to rare vintage and designer pieces, offered across a diverse size range. Valentine prioritises locally made garments and natural materials such as wool, silk, leather, and cashmere, and thoroughly checks each piece, providing repairs and maintenance when needed.

Sustainability

By giving existing garments a second life, maintaining a small inventory, and reusing shipping materials, Tina Gems approaches fashion in a more conscious way. This model reduces waste and supports a slower, more considered approach to consumption.

Pop-up at Cloud

Valentine recently organised her first vintage pop-up in collaboration with ByZolaStudio and ANNO at Cloud, a café and art gallery in Amsterdam’s Jordaan. The event brought together the communities of all three brands in a space centered around creativity, connection and fashion — something that lies at the heart of Tina Gems.
