Priscilla Natasha creates analogue street photography that captures the cinematic beauty of everyday life. Available as museum-quality giclée prints, her photographs transform everyday encounters into compelling and immersive stories.
Her story
Priscilla Natasha is a Jakarta-born photographer based in Amsterdam. She began photographing the street in 2014 while studying in Osaka. Spending long periods observing people and places, she became fascinated by the uniqueness of everyday moments and the stories they might contain. Inspired by the narratives, moods, and visual language of her favorite films, her work places a strong emphasis on atmosphere and storytelling.
After exhibiting her work for the first time in 2022 and producing prints of her photographs, she discovered a deep appreciation for the physical presence of printed images, which remains central to her practice today. Through her prints, she hopes to share these moments and stories with people who resonate with the work.
“Photography became a lasting passion and a way to stay present and see beauty in everyday life.”
Craftsmanship
All of Priscilla’s photographs are taken using 35mm film cameras and a variety of film stocks. Developing, scanning, and printing are carried out in collaboration with a specialised photo lab in the Netherlands, ensuring careful attention to material quality, color, and longevity throughout the process. The works are printed as museum-quality giclée prints—a fine art printing method that uses archival, water-based inks on acid-free paper to achieve rich tonal depth and long-lasting durability.
"Each image is thoughtfully produced with close attention to material, texture, and detail."
Sustainability
Sustainability is reflected in both the making and production of the work. Working with analogue photography naturally encourages a slower and more intentional process, where each image is carefully considered rather than produced in large quantities. Most prints are made to order, helping to avoid unnecessary overproduction while ensuring that each piece is produced with care.
