Her story

Rowen Lammers founded BY ROWEN in Nijmegen in 2023. After eight years of studying fashion, she launched the brand from a desire to combine timeless design with a more conscious and creative approach to fashion. The brand combines original handmade garments with carefully curated vintage and second-hand designer pieces, some reworked into new designs, others preserved in their original form. This allows her to create collections across a range of price points, making the brand accessible to a wider audience. With a focus on craftsmanship, individuality, and longevity, BY ROWEN creates expressive fashion made to last.

Curation and Craftsmanship

Both BY ROWEN’s handmade pieces and curated vintage finds are defined by classic tailoring, minimal silhouettes, and contemporary styling. Her handmade garments are created from deadstock, leftover fabrics, or existing pieces, making each design unique. The curated selection includes vintage and second-hand designer items, some of which are reworked to better align with the BY ROWEN aesthetic.

Sustainability

By working primarily with existing materials and producing in small quantities or as one-off pieces, BY ROWEN embraces a more sustainable approach to fashion. Highlights

Rowen was part of the Amsterdam Fashion Week 2022 graduate showcase, where she presented her graduation collection on the runway. She also collaborated with Scotch & Soda and a group of young designers on redesigned hoodies for Amsterdam Fashion Week.
